There are basically three steps in the application process.

1. First, you must complete an online application, which should take 10-15 minutes. You will receive a confirmation email letting you know that AZYF has received your application.
2. On the third week of the month, you will receive an email from AZYF inviting you to attend a Virtual Information Session. This virtual session (usually on Zoom) lasts about 30 minutes and helps you understand more what it would be like to become an intern. Other teens and parents who are interested in AZYF will be on this Zoom.
3. Finally, our AZYF staff will schedule an interview with you in the fourth week of the month.

The application process takes a month. Then you start the AZYF Academy in Month 2.

Resume is optional, if you don’t have one we will teach you during the AZYF Academy.

You can apply for multiple internships, but by the time of the interview with AZYF staff, you will have to select one. We can work with you to find the internship that is the best fit for you.

Group Internship works at Footprint Center (Phoenix Suns Arena) downtown with other interns and one of our staff members at all times.

But most of our internships are Career Internships. Career Internships are with a company where they will assign you a mentor for the duration of the internship. You will be the only AZYF intern at that company. For example, you could apply for an internship at Bank of America. BofA has dozens of locations throughout greater Phoenix. Each intern will be placed at a bank that is convenient to you, close to your school and home. The same concept is true with a Career Internship with Jiffy Lube, Haskins Electric, Avondale Toyota, etc.
