PHX Arena

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley is partnering with the PHX Arena (formerly Footprint Center) to offer paid internships for teens age 16 to 21.

  • Pay: $14.70 an hour
  • Where: In Person at PHX Arena (475 E Lincoln St Phx. AZ 85004)
  • When: FootPrint Center Internship is a year-round internship.
  • Extra info: Interns will work 5 to 6 hours per day, from Monday to Friday, and on weekends. Start times can vary based on the events scheduled at the arena. The internship lasts approximately 4 months. After completing the internship, interns will have the opportunity to interview for a lead intern (junior manager) position, which can extend their internship by an additional 4 months.

Following completion of the AZYF Academy, the teens will staff games supporting arena operations to enhance guest experiences at the Arena during Phoenix Suns & Phoenix Mercury basketball games, concerts, and other events.

Jiffy Lube

Jiffy Lube and BGCAZ have partnered to create an internship experience for teens interested in the automotive field.

Following completion of the AZYF Academy, interns will work as Courtesy Techs or Lube Technicians. Courtesy Techs are responsible for automatic and manual transmission vehicles, greeting customers, writing up work orders, and performing basic automotive services such as cleaning windows, inflating tires, and vacuuming vehicles. Lube Technicians perform all the functions of a Courtesy Tech, with the addition of oil changes, explaining services and products to customers, and other various fluid fills and filter changes.

Jiffy Lube is interested in hiring interns that are a good fit, so either position has the potential to be a great start to a rewarding automotive career!

About Banfield’s NextVet internship program:

As a NextVet intern, you’ll spend most of your time behind-the scenes in one of our veterinary hospitals, where you’ll see our team in action and have an opportunity to shadow a range of positions including veterinarians and credentialed veterinary technicians.  

You’ll also participate virtually in small group sessions exploring many aspects of the veterinary industry, receive ongoing support from our local doctors and market leaders, and have a chance to connect with Banfield senior executives. This is a temporary, part-time position with flexible hours. 

This is a 6-to-10-week summer internship with a time commitment of approximately 3 hours per day/15 hours per week. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc. within self and team. 
  • Internship will be a combination of time spent working at a Banfield hospital, engaging in virtual learning, and connecting with leaders and Associates across the business. The ratio will be split as follows: 90% in hospital, 10% virtual learnings and connecting with leaders and Associates. 
  • Under the guidance and supervision of doctors and other veterinary professionals, observe activities such as, but not limited to, proper animal handling techniques, setting up for surgical procedures, transcribing medical notes, preparing routine in-house laboratory tests, and assisting with routine physical examinations while working at a Banfield hospital. 
  • Interns may directly participate in such activities at the discretion of their Practice Manager if deemed safe and appropriate and as allowed by federal and local rules and regulations. 
  • Participate virtually in small group sessions exploring many aspects of the veterinary industry, receive ongoing support from our local doctors and market leaders, and have a chance to connect with Banfield senior executives. 
  • Share learnings and experiences to help inform practice priorities.

Education & Professional Qualification
