This internship gives participants the opportunity to play a hands-on role across the whole crop cycle and process at Urban Roots Farms, a USDA certified indoor facility that grows seven organic micro-greens, which are then harvested, freeze-dried, sold, and shipped across the country.

Step into the kitchen with confidence in this beginner-friendly culinary course! You will learn essential cooking techniques, kitchen and food safety, and how to prepare a variety of simple, delicious dishes from scratch. Students will also earn a ServSafe certification.

Traffic Support for Mortgage Matchup Center

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley is partnering with the Mortgage Matchup Center’s Traffic Support team (formerly Footprint Center) to offer paid internships for teens age 16 to 21.

  • Pay: $15.15 an hour
  • Where: In Person at Mortgage Matchup Center (475 E Lincoln St Phx, AZ 85004) and Chase Field Parking Garages
  • Extra info: Interns will have the opportunity to work 5 to 6 hours per day, Monday to Friday, and on weekends. Interns will work inside the garages that include (Mortgage Matchup, Jefferson, and the Chase garage) the start times vary based on the events scheduled at the arena/Chase Field. The internship lasts approximately 4 months. After completing the internship, interns will have the opportunity to apply to traffic support or transfer over to the Mortgage Matchup Center arena internship.

Following completion of the AZYF Academy, the teens will help direct traffic and guests inside the garages to entrances, exits, and facilities, monitor parking to ensure restricted or reserved parking areas are maintained, maintain a neat and clean environment for our guests, alongside other duties.

Jiffy Lube

Jiffy Lube and BGCAZ have partnered to create an internship experience for teens interested in the automotive field.

Following completion of the AZYF Academy, interns will work as Courtesy Techs or Lube Technicians. Courtesy Techs are responsible for automatic and manual transmission vehicles, greeting customers, writing up work orders, and performing basic automotive services such as cleaning windows, inflating tires, and vacuuming vehicles. Lube Technicians perform all the functions of a Courtesy Tech, with the addition of oil changes, explaining services and products to customers, and other various fluid fills and filter changes.

Jiffy Lube is interested in hiring interns that are a good fit, so either position has the potential to be a great start to a rewarding automotive career!

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley is partnering with the Mortgage Matchup Center (PHX Arena) to offer paid internships for teens age 16 to 21.

  • Pay: $15.15 an hour
  • Where: In Person at Mortgage Matchup Center (PHX Arena) (475 E Lincoln St Phx. AZ 85004)
  • When: Mortgage Matchup Center Internship is a year-round internship.
  • Extra info: Interns will work 5 to 6 hours per day, from Monday to Friday, and on weekends. Start times can vary based on the events scheduled at the arena. The internship lasts approximately 4 months. After completing the internship, interns will have the opportunity to interview for a lead intern (junior manager) position, which can extend their internship by an additional 4 months.

Following completion of the AZYF Academy, the teens will staff games supporting arena operations to enhance guest experiences at the Arena during Phoenix Suns & Phoenix Mercury basketball games, concerts, and other events.
