We’re proud of all of our interns at AZYouthforce, and we love it when their amazing achievements are highlighted, especially on a segment like Arizona Midday. This year’s Bayless Entrepreneurship Scholarship winner, Deshna, presented her impressive business strategy on 12 News. Through our AZYouthforce programs, she learned a lot about pitching business ideas, having confidence when meeting with clients, and even earned a $2,500 scholarship!
Deshna and the other Bayless Entrepreneurship Program interns spent 8 weeks developing their business plans, and were then provided the opportunity to pitch them at the end of the program. Deshna was initially inspired by the success she found in helping boost the sales of her family business, and she was able to factor in that personal life experience into her award-winning business plan.
High schoolers from 16 to 19 years old can also take part in opportunities like Deshna and the other AZYouthforce interns. AZYouthforce provides teens with the training they need to succeed during their internships and beyond.
